Job summary

IREN Spain is seeking a Finance SAP professional to support the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of SAP finance processes. You will align data, workflows, and reporting structures with finance and corporate requirements within the Finance Department.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, you will handle master data coordination, documentation, issue tracking, and user support, coordinating with IT, external consultants, and other finance teams to ensure

Job description

The Finance SAP role supports the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of SAP-related finance processes for IREN Spain, ensuring that financial data, system workflows, master data, reporting structures, and transactional processes are properly maintained and aligned with finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and corporate reporting requirements. The role contributes to the reliability, consistency, and scalability of IREN’s finance operating model in Spain.

Working within the Finance Department and reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, the Finance SAP role provides day-to-day support in SAP finance configuration follow-up, master data coordination, process documentation, issue tracking, user support, reporting inputs, and coordination with internal finance teams, IT, corporate functions, external consultants, and system providers.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, the Finance SAP role is responsible for:

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of SAP finance processes for IREN Spain, helping ensure alignment with accounting, treasury, tax, controlling, and corporate reporting requirements.
• Coordinate finance master data, chart of accounts information, cost centers, vendor and customer finance data, approval workflows, and other SAP-related inputs, ensuring that records are complete, accurate, and updated.
• Track SAP finance issues, system requests, user queries, testing activities, configuration changes, and process gaps, preparing clear updates and escalating relevant matters to the Director of Corporate Finance or IT stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, user guides, control evidence, testing records, change logs, and reporting inputs related to SAP finance workflows and system usage.
• Support month-end, reporting, reconciliation, payment, tax, and audit processes by helping ensure that SAP data, transactions, and supporting information are available, consistent, and properly organised.
• Coordinate with internal finance teams, corporate SAP or IT teams, external consultants, and system providers to support testing, troubleshooting, access management, enhancements, and finance process optimisation.
• Contribute to the improvement of SAP finance controls, templates, reporting routines, workflow efficiency, data quality, and documentation practices, supporting a scalable finance operating model for IREN Spain.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SAP finance, finance systems, accounting operations, ERP implementation or support, financial reporting, controlling, treasury, tax, or finance transformation environments.
• Good understanding of SAP finance processes, master data, accounting flows, payment processes, reconciliations, reporting structures, approval workflows, internal controls, and finance system documentation.
• Ability to organise system information, process documentation, testing records, issue logs, user requests, controls evidence, and reporting inputs in a clear, accurate, and structured manner.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI, ERP implementation projects, SAP S/4HANA, workflow tools, or document management systems will be positively valued.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical capability, confidentiality, communication skills, and ability to coordinate effectively with finance teams, IT stakeholders, external consultants, and corporate functions.
• Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; experience in international, high-growth, infrastructure, energy, or technology environments will be positively valued.
