The Role & What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving commercial and sales excellence, managing our diverse portfolio, spearheading business development initiatives, and enhancing our digital commercial capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess commercial best-in-class expertise, demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking, and have a proven track record of building high-performing organizations.

  1. Commercial and Sales Excellence:
    Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies to drive sales growth and increase market share within the pharmaceutical industry.
    Optimize sales processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in a highly regulated environment.
    Lead the development and execution of sales training programs to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  2. Digital Commercial Capabilities:
    Lead the digital transformation of our commercial operations, focusing on enhancing digital reach and omnichannel strategies.
    Implement cutting-edge digital tools and technologies to improve customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
    Develop and execute strategies for tracking the performance of digital sales tactics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
    Integrate digital marketing efforts with traditional sales approaches to create a seamless customer experience.
  3. Team Leadership:
    Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of 12, with 6 direct reports. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  4. Strategic Innovation:
    Ensure the commercial structure is fully aware, capable, and resourced to tap into upcoming portfolio and business opportunities. Create a platform of increased competencies and advanced skills that is of cross-the-board understanding and execution by commercial teams in the areas of Launch Excellence, Marketing Excellence, and Customer Interactions, especially critical as we enter into a more innovative competitive landscape.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    Ensure all strategies and initiatives are grounded in data. Utilize analytics to inform decisions, track performance, and optimize outcomes across all areas of responsibility.
  6. Portfolio Management and Business Development:
    Assist in the process of guaranteeing our product portfolio alignment with market needs and company objectives. Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and optimization.

About Your Skills & Experience

  1. Education: Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Proven track record in commercial and sales excellence, portfolio management, business development, and digital transformation.
  3. Skills:
    Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Proficiency in digital tools and technologies.
    Ability to drive innovation and manage change effectively.
