About the role

We are looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain and improve our software infrastructure. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring programs, and cloud infrastructure.

You will be joining a Technology department and work with our main infrastructure areas: GCP (Google Cloud Platform), which is the main cloud-platform where all our processes are deployed; AWS (Amazon Web Services), which hosts our power DNS services.

Key responsibilities

1. Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers and IT professionals to guarantee smooth deployment, automation and management of software infrastructure.
2. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environments.
3. Create and maintain monitoring systems to guarantee high availability and performance for software applications.
4. Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure such as GCP and AWS.
5. Automate software deployment, configuration, and upkeep processes.
6. Troubleshoot software infrastructure issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
7. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, then utilize them to enhance your software infrastructure.
8. Prepare base environment for software engineers.
9. Deploy and manage databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL.
10. Ensure high availability and scalability of services.
11. Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in GCP.
12. Continuous monitoring and remediation of security defects across the application including development and maintenance.
13. Tightly integrate security tools and processes throughout the DevOps pipeline.
14. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

1. Bachelor's degree in Software, Maths, Engineering, or related field.
2. At least 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related field.
3. Acquaintance with software development processes and methodologies.
4. Experience with continuous integration/delivery tools such as Argo CD or Jenkins would be an advantage.
5. Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as GCP and AWS.
6. Excellent scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ansible and Terraform.
7. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is essential.
8. Experienced with databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), message brokers (RabbitMQ or Kafka).
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
10. Enthusiasm for learning and using new technologies.
11. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
12. Back-end: PHP 7+, Symfony, PHP Unit for Core API, and some service.
13. Back-end: Go for new services.
14. Front-end: Angular 1 and PHP Slim for old services.
15. Front-end: React for new services.
16. Elastic search, Redis as cache.
17. RabbitMQ as a message broker.
18. GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence.
19. GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins.
20. Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix.
21. GCP, AWS.
