Job summary

EPAM Systems in Málaga, Spain, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate and operate enterprise-scale cloud platforms for mission-critical trading systems. Hybrid work model in Malaga, with a focus on reliability, security and scalable cloud-native solutions.

You will leverage Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD to drive platform modernization, improve productivity and ensure operational resilience for highly regulated financial environments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering.
• 7+ years on Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience supporting business-critical, highly available apps.
• Deep Kubernetes knowledge and container orchestration.
• Python coding experience and one statically typed language (Java or C#).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD architectures.
• Security, networking and API integration understanding.
• Excellent communication and global-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and manage cloud-native platforms on Azure and/or AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (GitLab).
• Deploy and optimize Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code templates (Terraform).
• Establish observability with monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Lead root-cause analysis for incidents and performance bottlenecks.
• Create automation to improve developer productivity and release velocity.
• Ensure security, compliance and high availability across multi-clouds.
• Partner with development teams on deployment strategies.
• Contribute to platform reliability engineering and DR testing.
