The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Architect who has a solid footing when it comes to infrastructure management, scripting and system administration, virtualization and containerization, but who also has the necessary leadership skills to have the DevOps Team Lead focused on the operational aspects, and to manage the DevOps Team ensuring day-to-day processes run smoothly, and collaborate between development and operations teams. We are open to both onsite and remote candidates residing in Spain, who have a valid work permit for Spain.

You have

Within Infrastructure Management, Scripting and System Administration :

• Proven experience in managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructures, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Extensive experience with large-scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using Terraform.
• Good understanding of VPC networking concepts with practical experience.
• Proficient in Linux scripting and system administration.
• Demonstrated experience in setting up CI / CD pipelines adhering to best practices for zero downtime deployments and quality gates.

Within Virtualization and Containerization :

• Good understanding of virtualization and containerization.
• Experience with container orchestration frameworks, particularly Kubernetes (K8s).
• Expertise in performance optimization and containerization of Java and NodeJS applications.

Within Disaster Recovery and Backup :

• Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and simulation.
• Experience with rolling out data storage engines in high-availability mode.

Proficiency in ensuring the reliability and availability of data storage systems.

Within Monitoring and Alerting :

• Proficient in setting up monitoring and alerting systems according to industry best practices.
• Experience in performance planning and cost optimization.

Within Security Expertise :

• Understanding of cloud security threats and risk management.
• Familiarity with GDPR, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience in fixing OS-level vulnerabilities, Security Command Center, DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and SAST / DAST.

Requirements :

• Over 10+ years of professional experience in Cloud operations, SRE or DevOps.
• Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented.
• A strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering practices.
• Fluent in English with well-developed communication skills.
• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to execute occasional activities after business hours in the CET time zone.

Nice to have :

• Experience with serverless event-driven architectures and data streaming, including Pub / Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Workflows, and Eventarc.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks.
• Experience with data warehouse architecture such as big query / big table.
