Designed by a team from the metals industry, our CTRM, ‘Balsamo’, is a fast, reliable, scalable, efficient, and user-friendly system utilizing the latest technology to provide the best user experience for managing these demanding and complex commodities. Based in Geneva and the UK, CE serves customers across four continents.
We are expanding our team with a passionate DevOps engineer, based in Madrid, to implement, maintain, and support the software developed and used by our clients.

Responsibilities :
- Technical Leadership :
- Define the technical direction and ensure best practices by inspiring a team of software engineers.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform technology adoption and development strategies.
- Team + Project Management :
- Collaborate with the team to define requirements, scope, and objectives for solutions.
- Lead and manage relationships with technical vendors.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
- Architecture and Design :
- Lead the design and architecture of complex technical solutions, considering scalability, performance, and security.
- Review and approve technical design proposals and solutions.
- Security and Efficiency :
- Ensure security and efficiency of implementations by applying best practices, conducting security assessments, and securing code and infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities for process, tool, and automation improvements to increase team productivity.
- Implement best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate with product management and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Technical Documentation :
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Ensure the current infrastructure remains performant, stable, and secure 24/7.
- Migrate current infrastructure to more modern technologies.
- Implement hosting solutions aligned with our innovation roadmap.
- Develop and implement structured, secure CI/CD and monitoring processes.
- Handle ISO certification processes.
- Manage the daily operations of the DevOps team.
- Immediate Projects :
- Migrate private cloud to a more modern, still private platform.
- Migrate maintenance processes into a scheduler.
- Deploy innovations in a public/private cloud mix.
- Implement high availability architecture for 24/7 user access.
- Required experience and skills
- Experience with Linux & Docker infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Shell, Python, Java, Web Services.
- Experience managing databases like Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of architecture and security concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and quick learner.
- Familiarity with tools, open-source tech, and cloud services: Ansible, Terraform, VMWare, Kubernetes.
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles, using Jenkins and other tools.
