About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our portfolio of high-traffic WordPress websites. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across our engineering and product teams, contributing to both technical decisions and product execution. The ideal candidate has deep WordPress expertise, a sharp eye for performance, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and security.
2. Build custom themes and plugins with a focus on best practices and long-term maintainability.
3. Optimize front-end performance and implement SEO improvements, including Core Web Vitals enhancements.
4. Collaborate with engineering and product team members to deliver high-quality features aligned with business needs.
5. Work with Git-based workflows and participate in code reviews.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs and issues across staging and production environments.
7. Coordinate with DevOps to manage hosting, caching, and CDN strategies.
8. Stay current with the latest WordPress developments, plugin ecosystem, and modern web technologies.
9. Develop and maintain third-party integrations to extend website functionality.

About You:

1. 4+ years of experience in web development, with a primary focus on WordPress.
2. Deep knowledge of WordPress core, architecture, REST API, and block development.
3. Proven experience creating custom themes and plugins.
4. Strong understanding of web performance optimization, including caching, CDNs, and SEO best practices.
