Job Description

We are recruiting a Senior Design Manager with experience in Highways Design and Team Leadership, based in Madrid. This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work.

The candidate will join our experienced team focusing on US, Canada, and ANZ markets, providing assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary, and detailed designs on civil projects globally. Our clients include private and public sectors, with long-term agreements with local authorities and design-build contracts with major contractors.

Our group has a proven track record delivering design packages across the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You may work on iconic transportation and water projects as part of a diverse, multicultural team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in Highways design with international, multicultural teams (+10 years)
• Project or design management experience (+2 years) on large international railway projects
• Strong technical leadership in highway projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to Quality Control and Quality Management System
• Team management experience
• Experience working in US, Canada, or ANZ is highly valuable
• Experience collaborating with international design teams
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in civil engineering
• US and/or Australian Professional Engineer license (favorable)
