Description
EIS is seeking a Senior DataOps Engineer for the Analytic team. The successful candidate will take ownership of delivering high-performing, impactful SaaS services and products. The DataOps Engineer will support various cloud-based infrastructures, including front-end websites, back-end APIs, serverless functions, and deployment pipelines. The role involves automating data-driven processes used by analytics teams, creating automated pipelines, enhancing quality and security, and reducing data analytics cycle times.
Key Responsibilities
- Own production pipelines, deployments, and services.
- Deploy software across multiple environments from development to production.
- Establish scalable, efficient, and automated deployment processes.
- Create infrastructure from code following best practices for maintainability and extensibility.
- Manage service and flow orchestration.
- Develop metrics to ensure services meet customer demand and impact; iterate to improve these metrics in an agile manner.
- Implement GitOps-based software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to advise on security implementations.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proficiency in sysadmin tasks.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher), Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS.
- Experience with GitOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Scripting skills in Bash, SQL, Python.
- Familiarity with Terraform and Pulumi.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
Advantageous Skills
- Snowflake, Fivetran.
- IAM (SaaS, Security).
- Familiarity with additional DevOps and DataOps tools like Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible.
