Our Data Science team enables data-driven decision-making through complex data analysis. As a key team member, you will enhance our data product landscape by experimenting with, deploying, and testing forecast models to propel our business forward.

Senior Data Scientist - Forecasting (m / f / d)

Location : remote, Germany; remote, Spain

Your responsibilities

• Lead development of forecasting models, focusing on demand forecasting. This includes understanding business needs, data analysis, solution development, and deployment.
• Develop, validate, and deploy time series forecasting models in Python (e.g., LSTM, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, CatBoost, LightGBM, ARIMA) to improve forecast accuracy.
• Conduct complex data analysis to derive insights and propose actionable solutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Engineers, Analysts, Product Managers, and Business Stakeholders.
• Continuously improve forecasting processes, tools, and methodologies through observation, feedback, and proactive suggestions.
• Bring several years of professional experience in end-to-end Data Science project development, with a focus on demand forecasting within eCommerce.
• Hold a Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, etc.).
• Be proficient in SQL and Python, with strong skills in data modeling, structures, and visualization.
• Be familiar with software development tools (Git, Docker) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Possess a proactive, problem-solving, and analytical mindset with excellent communication skills in English.
