Job Description

Our Digital Builders Organization is an internal team supporting the entire SGS business. Its objective is to drive new IT solutions based on SGS Business Units' needs, allowing the company to optimize processes, improve results, and generate value for clients. These solutions are developed through an agile methodology, hybrid teams, and short time-to-market.

As a Data Scientist, you will translate business requirements related to our digital transformation, where cloud technology is a key enabler. You will work on implementing data MVPs as part of a Digital Builders Organization squad.

More Specifically, You Will

1. Collaborate with Business Units to understand the business problems that AI and Machine Learning can solve.
2. Provide technical expertise in use case execution, collaborating with IT for optimal solutions.
3. Support the Product Owner in defining scope and measurable metrics for evaluating solutions.
4. Work with architects to transition from MVP scope to final data solutions.
5. Take ownership of AI/ML and data components in MVPs to develop rapid data solutions addressing user needs.
6. Work closely with data owners to leverage data for building products.
7. Own the projects you are involved in.
8. Promote the work of the DBO Data Team to facilitate discovery of new AI/ML use cases.

Qualifications

• Over 6 years of professional experience developing AI/ML solutions applied to business problems.
• Degree in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python, especially for Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, and Generative AI. Knowledge of other platforms is a plus.
• Experience with MLOps/DevOps.
• Statistical knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities (certifications like Scrum Master, PMI, Lean are a plus).
• Proven leadership in professional or extracurricular activities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, fluent in English and local languages.
