Overview

Senior Data Scientist (LLMs) – Freelance (Pharma industry)

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join one of our clients' team (pharmaceutical industry) on a full-time freelance basis. This role is an opportunity to contribute to a client project applying advanced machine learning and large language models (LLMs) in a highly impactful sector.

Responsibilities

• Developing, fine-tuning, and deploying LLM-based solutions
• Hands-on work with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers
• Designing experiments and evaluation frameworks for generative AI systems
• Ensuring high-quality data processing and scalable pipelines
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in the client\'s team to deliver production-ready solutions

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist with a focus on LLMs, NLP, and generative AI
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, LangChain, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with model development, fine-tuning, and evaluation
• Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end delivery
• Background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is a plus, but not mandatory

Contract Details

• Location: Barcelona (remote work possible)
• Contract: Freelance, full-time until the end of the year, with potential extension
