About the role :

Sandsoft is looking for an experienced Data Scientist responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to drive insights into player behaviour, marketing campaigns, and market trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of game analytics, experience in using data to make strategic decisions, and be able to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders. If you have the ability to deep dive into the data through SQL and advanced analytics tools as well as explain outcomes and insights efficiently, there is a fantastic journey for you at Sandsoft.

In this role, you will be responsible for more than just traditional data analysis. You will also lead segmentation analysis and machine learning processes for retention and lifetime value (LTV) projections. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their skills and take on more responsibility.

What you will do :

  1. Lead the analysis of marketing campaigns, market trends, and in-game user journey
  2. Review and analyze market test data
  3. Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize data analysis needs
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in game analytics
  5. Contribute to customer retention and lifetime value (LTV) improvement through data projections
  6. Develop and maintain data analysis reports and insights on our acquisition, engagement, and monetization pillars

What you need to be successful in the role :

  1. Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics or a related field
  2. Solid experience in data analysis
  3. Strong gaming experience understanding different game categories data, LTV curves shape, and the UA actions effect
  4. Strong understanding of data analysis techniques
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Proficiency in data analysis software, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio

For this type of role, strong gaming experience is a must. The selected candidate needs to fully understand the business side of gaming: how different game categories perform, how their LTV curves should look like, how to get the relevant data from the MMP dashboards, how UA affects the results, etc.
