Job summary

EQS in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Data Ops Engineer to design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks while building the next generation of our Compliance SaaS platform. You will own data pipeline development, from ingestion to modeling, ensuring reliability and scale.

You will tie together Kubernetes, Trino, and Airflow clusters, collaborate with SRE and Backend teams, expand monitoring, and drive observability so teams can ship features quickly and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development. Design, build, and maintain Airflow DAGs and data pipelines that move and transform data across the platform.
• Kubernetes & Infrastructure Operations. Maintain Kubernetes namespaces and Trino and Airflow clusters and manage multi-environment setups.
• Cross-Team Coordination. Coordinate with the SRE and Backend teams on architecture and deployment decisions.
• Monitoring, Metrics & Support. Expand monitoring/alerting and provide visibility into system health; assist with user-reported issues.

You will design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks that drive our continuous delivery process

• As a Senior Data Ops Engineer, you will drive the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data platform. You will shape how we manage data pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling. You will embed automation, strengthen observability, and ensure our data infrastructure meets the Insights team’s needs. Your impact will extend beyond individual pipelines, influencing processes, teams, and the long-term stability of our data platform
• Here’s how you will contribute to our team:
• Data Pipeline Development. You will design, build, and maintain Airflow DAGs, data ingestion pipelines, and dbt pipelines that move and transform data across our platform. Your work ensures that data flows reliably from source to destination and that downstream teams can trust the models they build on top of it
• Kubernetes & Infrastructure Operations. You will maintain our Kubernetes namespaces and Trino and Airflow clusters and manage multiple environments end-to-end. By keeping our infrastructure stable, scalable, and production-ready, you give every team that depends on it the confidence to build and ship at speed
• Cross-Team Coordination. You will coordinate closely with the SRE team on infrastructure and deployment topics, and work hand in hand with the Backend team to align on shared architecture decisions. Your ability to communicate clearly across teams keeps our data platform consistent with the systems it connects to
• Monitoring, Metrics & Support. You will expand our monitoring and alerting setup, prepare internal metrics that give teams clear visibility into system health, and assist with user-reported bugs as they come in. Together, these efforts keep our platform reliable and our users confident in the data they depend on
