Job summary

UST España & Latam is seeking a hands-on Software/Data Engineer to build, modernize, and support the client’s Data Platform using Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, and Azure services. You will design data models, develop ETL/ELT workflows, and contribute to AI-enabled solutions while collaborating with stakeholders.

You will work with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD, maintain production systems, and help deliver scalable analytics and Power BI dashboards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Design, develop and maintain Snowflake data models, transformations, views and pipelines.
• Build and enhance dbt models with testing, documentation and deployment.
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows and data integration solutions.
• Develop Python utilities, automation tools and services for data processing.
• Work with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production systems, investigate incidents and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to Generative AI and AI-enabled solutions using tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Support Power BI dashboards, semantic models and data consumption patterns.

What we look for?

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Software/Data Engineer to help build, modernize, and support our client's Data Platform.

We are seeking someone who combines strong data engineering expertise with a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work with technologies including Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, Azure Data Factory, Generative AI and Power BI, contributing both to new solutions and existing production environments.

• Design, develop and maintain Snowflake data models, transformations, views and data pipelines.
• Build and enhance dbt models, including testing, documentation and deployment.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and data integration solutions.
• Develop Python utilities, automation tools and services for data processing, testing and troubleshooting.
• Work with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, inclusive of pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production systems, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and drive operational improvements.
• Contribute to Generative AI and AI-enabled solutions, leveraging tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Support existing .NET/C# services and occasionally contribute to React/TypeScript applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Support data platforms powering Power BI dashboards, analytics, semantic models, client insights and AI-driven use cases.
• Strong experience with SQL, Snowflake and data engineering.
• Good understanding of dimensional modelling and Kimball methodology, including facts, dimensions, grain, historical data and conformed dimensions.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dbt models and applying engineering best practices.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and Azure Pipelines.
• Strong Python programming skills for data engineering, automation, testing and integrations.
• Experience with Generative AI tools and AI-enabled solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, version control and CI/CD methodologies.
• Knowledge of Power BI, semantic models and data consumption patterns.
• Ability to work autonomously on well-defined requirements while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience with .NET/C# and xUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of React, TypeScript, Vite, React Query, MSAL and OAuth.
• Advanced Snowflake capabilities such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Secure Views and performance tuning.
• Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, Marketing or Client Services environments.
• Understanding of metadata management, data lineage and modern data products.
