Job summary

Velto Renewables, Madrid, seeks a System Manager to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure enabling Asset Management to transform raw data into actionable insights for performance optimization and predictive maintenance.

You will lead ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and the deployment of Lumina, coordinating with IT and external providers while ensuring data quality, security, and GDPR compliance across the energy assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, preferably in renewables, utilities, or industrial IoT.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and time-series databases.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Ability to translate technical data into business insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from SCADA, inverters, sensors, ERP, and other sources.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across asset data streams.
• Build and maintain data warehouses/lakes optimized for analytics and reporting.
• Lead deployment and integration of Lumina with IT systems and vendors.
• Oversee data governance, security, and GDPR compliance; drive efficiency and advanced analytics.
