Job summary

All European Careers BENELUX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead end-to-end data projects using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and Power BI. You will analyse requirements, model data and deliver pipelines and BI solutions.

You will manage a small team of 2–3 developers, mentor colleagues and collaborate with architects, data scientists and analysts to promote best practices in data engineering and self-service analytics across multiple business areas.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and report development with Power BI.
• Strong experience with SQL and Python for data solutions.
• Proven experience with Data Vault and dimensional data modelling.
• Experience leading a small technical team and mentoring developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data projects, translating business requirements into scalable data models, pipelines and Power BI solutions.
• Develop data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, SQL and PySpark.
• Design database schemas and implement Data Vault and dimensional data models.
• Build and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports, supporting UAT and production deployment.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, data quality controls, SQL queries and processing workflows.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security and data governance requirements.
• Lead a small team of developers, coordinating priorities and delivery while mentoring.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to promote best practices.
