Job summary

Signify Technology is partnering with a client on a large-scale data migration from GCP to AWS. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver the final 30% of the migration, working with a Scala/Spark codebase and Airflow orchestration.

The role is fully remote within EU timezones, with US East Coast team overlap. Daily rate $500–$550, contract through 2026 with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Proven Scala and Spark experience in large-scale data platforms.
• Experience migrating data pipelines between GCP and AWS.
• Strong testing, validation and data quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the final 30% of a complex data migration (GCP → AWS).
• Work with and adapt an existing Scala-based Spark codebase.
• Translate pipelines for AWS compatibility and performance.
• Support Airflow (Python) orchestration.
• Ensure robust testing, validation, and monitoring across pipelines.
