Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Data Engineer to lead large-scale data platform migrations to Snowflake and support reliable Airflow workflows. You will work within the data engineering function to migrate ~1,000 datasets, adapt pipelines to Snowflake, and ensure data quality during the process.

The role requires 3+ years Python, Advanced SQL, Snowflake modeling, Airflow expertise, and AWS S3 experience, with a focus on delivering by March 2027. Flexible schedule with remote/office options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Advanced SQL with complex joins, CTEs, window functions and performance tuning.
• Snowflake data modeling experience.
• Apache Airflow—developing and testing pipelines in Airflow and Python.
• Experience with Iceberg and Parquet data formats.
• AWS experience, particularly S3 (data lakes, partitioning, lifecycle policies).
• Testing strategy experience with hands-on debugging of code.
• At least 2 years of industry experience with large-scale datasets, including Airflow and Spark.
• Ability to overlap work hours with Pacific Time (12 PM PT).

Responsibilities

• Execute migration of large data platform elements to Snowflake.
• Adapt existing pipelines to Snowflake architecture and approach.
• Ensure data quality and reliability during migration.
• Support workflow scheduling and monitoring in Airflow.
• Migrate Airflow versions (2 to 3) and related infrastructure.
• Advance migration milestones to finish by March 2027.
