About the Role

At TechDelivery , we’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Data Tech Lead with expert-level DBT experience to lead the design and implementation of scalable, production-grade data architectures. This role includes relocation to Barcelona with visa sponsorship and is ideal for candidates from LATAM seeking an international challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust data solutions aligned with business needs.
• Build and maintain production-grade ELT pipelines using DBT (expert level).
• Orchestrate data workflows using tools like Apache Airflow .
• Ensure data quality through the implementation and monitoring of data governance frameworks.
• Integrate and model datasets from multiple sources in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and address their data needs.
• Identify and resolve challenges in data infrastructure and flows.
• Promote a data-driven culture and lead high-impact data initiatives across the organization.
• Effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support and mentor data engineers and analysts within the team.

Technical Stack & Requirements

• Priority stack : Spark and AWS .
• Strong experience with SQL , Jinja , and Python .
• Solid experience working with Apache Airflow or similar orchestrators.
• Proficiency with cloud-based databases ( Snowflake is a plus ).
• Experience with BI visualization tools ( Looker, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Quicksight ).
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices : unit testing, integration testing .
• Experience with development tools : IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Docker .
• Experience with relational, columnar and NoSQL databases ( Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora, Postgres, Snowflake ).
• Experience with data modeling and management tools ( Hive, Jupyter, Zeppelin, Databricks ).
• Experience with CI / CD and automation ( Jenkins, Streamsets ).
• Experience working in Agile environments .
