Job summary

q.beyond ibérica S.L. seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own the data platform and drive business integration using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

You’ll build robust ETL/ELT pipelines with Fabric Data Factory, integrate SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, model gold layers, and ensure data quality, governance, and secure access. Collaboration with Finance and Sales is key.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience in the Microsoft stack.
• Deep knowledge of SQL, Python/PySpark, and data modelling in medallion architectures.
• Experience integrating ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA; understanding of finance/Sales KPIs.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with Git-based deployments and data governance (GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and evolution of the central data platform on Fabric.
• Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines with Fabric Data Factory and notebooks.
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA and model gold data layer and BI semantic models.
• Establish data quality, monitoring, lineage, and CI/CD with Git/Azure DevOps.
• Define access concepts and RBAC with Security and Governance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Management to translate requirements into data models.
• Validate data with SMEs and steer data product adoption through onboarding and training.
• Lead workshops and present results to management and external partners.

Digitize the German midmarket with us as a Senior Data Engineer – Data Platform & Business Integration (m/f/d)

LAY FOUNDATIONS. ENSURE EFFICIENCY.

YOUR TASKS:

• Own the architecture and evolution of q.beyond's central data platform on Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, lakehouses, warehouses, medallion architecture).
• Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines with Fabric Data Factory, dataflows and notebooks (PySpark, SQL).
• Integrate source systems, above all SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, and model the gold layer and Power BI semantic models.
• Establish data quality, monitoring, alerting and lineage as well as CI/CD with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Own access concepts and role models (Entra ID, RBAC) together with Security and Governance.
• Gather requirements with Finance, Sales, Security and Management, translate them into data models and align KPI definitions.
• Validate data with subject‑matter experts, e.g. financial figures against SAP reports.
• Drive adoption of data products through onboarding, training and key‑user enablement.
• Run workshops, present results to management and steer external partners technically.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

• At least 5 years of data engineering experience in the Microsoft stack (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI).
• Deep knowledge of SQL, Python/PySpark, data modelling and medallion architecture.
• Experience integrating ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA; understanding of finance or sales KPIs.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps, Git‑based deployments and data governance (incl. GDPR).
• Strong communication skills, also with non‑technical audiences; experience in agile product teams.
• Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
• Certifications such as DP-700 or DP-600 are a plus.
