Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Professional Data Engineer to design, build and manage scalable data architectures in our Application Development team. You will develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using the Azure data stack and optimize SQL-based data platforms to support external-facing fleet management applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or database development with focus on SQL performance tuning and analytics.
• Advanced expertise in Azure-based data solutions (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SQL Databases).
• Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and SQL programming.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, and version control (Git).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement logical and physical data models for new features and analytics.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure data services.
• Contribute to a modern cloud-based data architecture for growth and analytics.
• Implement data quality controls and ensure data integrity across lifecycles.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to integrate data solutions.
