This new startup is building a world-class technology capability from scratch (Mid and Senior Engineers needed). You'll collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and commercial teams to create systems that power intelligent decisions and unlock new opportunities.

Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, enabling efficient data ingestion, processing, and access.
• Work closely with ML Engineers and Analysts to ensure clean, consistent, and well-modelled datasets.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to understand business use cases and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Implement and optimise data storage solutions to support analytical and AI workloads.
• Establish best practices in data governance, security, and monitoring.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and methods in modern data engineering.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and take ownership of key components from day one
• Strong experience in building reliable ETL / ELT pipelines in modern data platforms.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and distributed data tools such as Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with cloud-native data infrastructure (Azure or AWS preferred).
• Deep understanding of data modelling, versioning, and orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.
• Practical experience in designing systems that serve both analytical and ML use cases.
• Ownership mindset – proactive in finding and fixing data issues before they impact downstream users.
• Collaborative approach, able to work cross-functionally with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
• Curiosity and drive, not just solving data problems, but finding better ways to do things.
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Spain without sponsorship.
