About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in advancing our central data platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the next level of maturity for our data infrastructure, focusing on implementing self-service capabilities and robust data governance, and enabling strategic business decisions. You will bring a problem-solving and data-oriented set of skills with deep technical knowledge of data treatment tools.

What will you be doing?
- Work with internal technology teams to deliver key data engineering / analytics capabilities.
- Design, build, and support data-centric services, including, but not limited to, event streaming, ETL pipelines, and distributed data storage utilizing Airflow, Apache Beam, BigQuery, and DBT.
- Apply software engineering best practices to our data environment : testing and version control, CI / CD process in a GCP Cloud environment.
- Work with architects and technology leads to ensure a reliable, scalable, and robust architecture for our data environment.
- Improve, evolve, and make the company's data warehouse scalable.
- Build and design a horizontal self-service platform to achieve good data governance.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish & English, both verbal and written.
- Advanced knowledge in programming languages like Python.
- Advanced expertise with development best practices and tools.
- Analytics capabilities and Business acumen.
- Experience with Streaming and Batch ingestion.
- Experience with job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Experience with SQL-like languages.
- Experience in data modeling and architecture with DBT or similar.
- Experience with analytical tools like Looker.
- High degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.
