The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in enhancing and administering our data infrastructure and implementing solutions that drive business intelligence and analytics. You will develop scalable data solutions, collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure data quality, compliance, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Optimize and enhance data workflows and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Implement solutions to ensure compliance with relevant data protection standards and regulations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data governance practices.
4. Develop and maintain complex data models to support strategic business initiatives.
5. Oversee and enhance the data infrastructure.
6. Manage the data platform.
7. Define and execute a long-term strategy for data architecture.
8. Facilitate data ingestion and transformation processes for seamless data integration.
9. Support team members in creating comprehensive reports and analytics.
10. Assist in delivering data for advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
11. Independently deliver medium to large-scale features.
12. Establish and promote best practices for code maintainability and performance.

About you:

You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, following and implementing data engineering best practices. You have expertise in Python and SQL, and are proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery and Dataflow. You also have experience with Apache Airflow, Docker, data governance policies, and integrating data from multiple sources including databases, product tracking, and APIs. Fluency in English is required.

Nice to haves:

• Familiarity with Terraform and Google Tag Manager.
• Knowledge of GDPR compliance.
• Experience with MongoDB, Kubernetes, and Golang.
• Previous work with DBT (Data Build Tool).
