The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in enhancing and administering our data infrastructure and implementing solutions that drive business intelligence and analytics. You will implement scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics, working collaboratively with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure data quality, compliance, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Optimize and enhance data workflows and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Implement solutions to ensure compliance with relevant data protection standards and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data governance practices.
  4. Develop and maintain complex data models to support strategic business initiatives.
  5. Oversee and enhance the data infrastructure.
  6. Manage the data platform.
  7. Define and execute a long-term strategy for data architecture.
  8. Facilitate data ingestion and transformation processes to enable seamless data integration.
  9. Provide support and resources to enable team members to create comprehensive reports and analytics.
  10. Assist in delivering essential data for advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
  11. Independently deliver medium to large-scale features.
  12. Establish and promote best practices for code maintainability and performance.

About you:

  1. You have 5+ years of work experience as a Data Engineer.
  2. You understand, follow and implement data engineering best practices.
  3. You have expertise in Python and SQL.
  4. You are proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly with BigQuery and Apache Beam / Dataflow.
  5. You have demonstrated experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  6. You have a strong understanding of Docker.
  7. You have experience with implementing data governance policies.
  8. You have experience integrating data in streaming and in batch from multiple sources including DBs, product tracking, and APIs.
  9. You are fluent in English.

Nice to haves:

  1. Familiarity with Terraform and Google Tag Manager.
  2. Knowledge of GDPR compliance.
  3. Experience with MongoDB, Kubernetes and Golang.
  4. Previous work with DBT (Data Build Tool).
