Senior Pricing Manager

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building and optimising a robust data infrastructure that supports analytics and advanced insights across the organisation. Your role will involve shaping the strategic direction of the data platform, ensuring it evolves to meet business needs. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills. You will play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture by developing systems that empower teams with accurate, reliable, and actionable data.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and manage key data infrastructure that powers analytics across the business.
2. Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, design scalable solutions, and define project roadmaps.
3. Drive the vision and long-term strategy for the data platform, ensuring it aligns with the company’s advanced data initiatives.
4. Balance technical feasibility with business priorities when planning and delivering projects.
5. Build and maintain data pipelines that enable high-quality analytics and insights.
6. Mentor and support junior team members, sharing best practices in data engineering and security.
7. Promote data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years of relevant experience, with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Strong English communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
3. Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
4. Strong SQL skills, with experience using Google BigQuery, MySQL, or other database technologies.
5. Hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud-based data platforms.
6. Proven ability to develop and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines independently.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
8. A collaborative mindset, with a passion for mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
9. Experience with tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Iceberg, Google BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform.
10. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
11. Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
12. Knowledge of data quality automation and governance.
13. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or similar platforms.
