Your Role

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer that will design, develop and maintain database architecture and code initiatives supporting internal and third-party software solutions, delivering excellent products in scope and on time, and meeting current and long-term business needs for the business area. Participate in an agile team of motivated, driven, high-energy engineers, building trust and confidence with team members and business stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and coach junior data engineers to build stronger and faster teams.

Your Responsibilities

As an experienced and solution-oriented Lead Data Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Working with our product teams to provide timely, effective and performant solutions;
2. Contributing to the design of scalable data solutions, including the development of automated pipelines;
3. Implementing and/or maintaining database systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our application suite;
4. Understanding and defining business data requirements and identifying data needs and data sources to create scalable data architecture and support enhancements, new product and implementation;
5. Coaching, mentoring, and training team members driving both employee and team development and growth.

Your Expertise

• Degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years database developer experience (SQL Server or equivalent)
• Ability to create data models for the integration of multiple systems
• Ability to create and maintain stored procedures
• Ability to write SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues
• Working knowledge of cloud data technologies and architecture
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
• Working knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines for code deployment
• Proficiency in BI tooling, Power BI preferred
• Familiarity with data-specific unit testing frameworks
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation tasks
• Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator
