YOUR MISSION

As Glovo continues to expand its footprint and innovate in the competitive on-demand delivery space, data will play an increasingly critical role in driving decision-making, enhancing customer experiences, and creating value for the company. With the growing volume and complexity of data generated across our platform, there is a pressing need for a strategic leader to shape our data strategy, drive insights, and unlock opportunities for growth and optimization.

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic leader to come in and lead the large cross-functional data organization.

THE JOURNEY

• Lead and mentor a team of leaders of each functional area
• Foster a culture of collaboration, feedback, and learning
• Recruit & scale the diverse and inclusive data organization
• Oversee the design and development of the data strategy across the organization to address the needs of both analytical and operational data use cases
• Establish a high bar for analytics and propagate across the company
• Lead the company to generate more business value through the use of Machine Learning, Data Science and Experimentation
• Collaborate with leaders across the entire company to understand and super-charge their teams through your expertise in Data
• Foster a strong relationship with the executive team, establishing a new framework/level of looking into decisions/optimizations and their impact on each of the actors of our complex marketplace
• Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

• Proven ability to lead leaders
• Proven experience of leading cross-functional data teams (analytics, data science, machine learning, data engineering) of 100+ people in a product-driven and data-centric organization
• Deep understanding of the nature and differences of analytical and operational data and the underpinning technical differences
• Proven ability to lead and influence both technical and non-technical teams through large-scale projects and programs
• Background in leading large scale A/B testing (experimentation) program in a similar marketplace
• Proven experience influencing executives in making impactful decisions for companies (possibly as a “chief economist”)
• Relevant experience with multi-sided marketplaces built on network effects
• An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
