Our teams work in highly agile working environments for Fortune clients, following XP practices and best CI/CD practices. We are looking for a Senior Data DevOps Engineer with an open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts.

As a Data Platform/DevOps Engineer, you will tackle a challenging and varied array of problems in how we gain further maturity in Data Platform tools, processes, and engineering capabilities. You will be an engineer first and foremost, looking for excellent solutions that offer leverage for the company, not just 'quick fixes.'

What You’ll Do

1. Managing the day-to-day operation of big data technologies and ensure consistent performance and reliability
2. Participating in on-call shifts
3. Addressing complex problems in our data infrastructure and implement robust solutions that align with our growth strategy
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in data platform architecture, tools, and technologies
5. Engaging in continuous learning to keep pace with the latest developments in the field
6. Maintaining and implementing new features to the data transformation architecture which is the backbone of the analytical data platform at our client
7. Delivering high-performance data processing solutions that are efficient and reliable at scale

What You Have

1. Proficiency in coding with Python, Bash and SQL
2. Hands-on experience with Databricks
3. Big data platform support/on-call experience preferably with Databricks
4. Experience operating and evolving data & release management pipelines
5. Understanding of data mesh architecture and data access control mechanisms (e.g., ABAC, RBAC)
6. Experience in Implementation and Operating Big Data technologies (preferably with Databricks)
7. Good understanding of Apache Spark (Batch & Streaming) and performance tuning
8. Hands-on experience in cloud technologies and familiarity with cloud deployment models. Azure and/or AWS (AWS services like IAM, S3, Lambda, EC2) are preferred
9. Engineering craftsmanship with experience in software development processes focusing on testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, and writing documentation
10. Excellent communication skills & proficiency in the English language

1. Databricks Unity Catalog experience
2. Databricks Labs UCX tooling experience
3. Hive metastore migration experience
