Formación

We are currently seeking a Data and Application Engineer to join our Data team, based in Madrid, Spain.

In this role, you will leverage your technical skills to build operational data-intensive applications that drive real-world solutions, working closely with various business units across Crowdfarming.

You'll partner with different teams and explore the data. In this role, the problems you'll seek will require a creative and analytical approach, a sharp intuition for product, and a strong degree of user insight to ultimately empower the business and achieve our mission.

Your responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Finance & People Business Unit to understand their challenges and translate them into impactful, data-driven solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python, PySpark, TypeScript and other relevant technologies.
• Engage in prompt engineering to optimize LLM interactions and enhance AI capabilities.
• Design, develop and deploy operational applications that address critical business challenges and improve efficiency.
• Monitor the impact of deployed software products and propose continuous improvements to enhance performance and user experience.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
• Enable and inspire non-technical peers to embrace a data-first mindset by demystifying complex concepts, showcasing AI use cases, and fostering a culture of curiosity and experimentation.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to data engineering and application development.
• Proactively bring data and AI into everyday conversations, identifying opportunities to solve problems that others might not even see yet — from automating manual workflows to surfacing insights no one thought to ask for.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics or a related field.
• Fluency in english.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, business analytics or application development roles
• Proficient in coding languages like SQL, PySpark, TypeScript, and prompt engineering.
• Experience in developing and maintaining production-level data pipelines and operational applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• A passion for sustainable agriculture and the food supply chain is a plus.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is a plus.
