Senior Credit Controller

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

This Senior Credit Controller role sits within the Private Label Solutions (PLS) finance credit team, providing an interface between Sales, Commercial Finance, Partner Finance, Accounting and Group Treasury.

You will have a diverse range of exciting responsibilities and a prominent role in our relationships with our travel partners. Credit Control within PLS has our travel partners at the centre of everything we do, and you will be their core finance business partner.

This is a key position within the finance team and will be pivotal in supporting the strong growth of our business with the launch of a new credit programme! This role will help launch and grow a new credit offering for our Travel Agent partnerships, while driving and educating on the necessary governance for the programme to run successfully.

In this role, you will:

  1. Have the autonomy to lead the credit portfolio of a new global credit offering on TAAP, (Travel Agent Affiliate Program) with the ownership of the launch, management and collection processes including the management of credit limits, dispute resolution and travel partner relationships.
  2. Be a relationship builder - it's a business partner role with heavy focus on project management and problem solving!
  3. Foster highly collaborative relationships within PLS, particularly with our Sales, Product & Tech and Commercial Finance teams.
  4. Support our credit insurance programme and other securitisation initiatives to improve the protection of PLS balance sheet, whilst simultaneously looking at ways to strengthen PLS working capital.
  5. Improve collections processes and support the overall improvement of processes that encourage partners to pay on time and in full.
  6. Ensure collation, assessment, management and storage of Financial Information provided by travel partners.
  7. Support the credit risk director with development of credit Management Policies ensuring that they reflect changes in PLS procedures and risk appetite.

Experience and qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of credit control experience with responsibility for an assigned portfolio.
  2. Credit Management professional with the ability to manage clients to set credit limits.
  3. Relationship building and cross functional collaboration: Builds effective relationships with internal stakeholders and partners to effectively resolve problems.
  4. Analysis: Ability to analyse and interpret complex partner payment activity to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities.
  5. Proactivity and accountability: ability to deliver under pressure and to deadlines with minimal supervision on multiple commitments simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  6. System skills: Experience of working with Oracle products is preferred but advanced Excel skills and an ability to adapt to new systems are essential.
  7. Experience in a business partnering finance role in a fast paced, changing environment (internally and client facing).
  8. Familiar with B2B business models and large, multi-currency accounts receivable functions.
  9. Portuguese and Spanish language skills desirable.
