Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall seeks a Senior Cost Manager to join our Cost Management team in Madrid or Barcelona with hybrid working arrangements. The role focuses on hospitality and related sectors, delivering cost management and commercial leadership on complex projects.

You will contribute to cost planning, procurement, and post‑contract activities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure value for money and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction-related technical discipline.
• MRICS or member of other relevant professional body, or desire to attain it.
• Experience in hospitality sector or similar market is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of projects.
• Support delivery of value for money in all circumstances.
• Carry out duties efficiently in line with processes and procedures.
• Adhere to environmental, health, safety, security and quality standards.

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting Senior Cost Manager to be based either at our Madrid or Barcelona offices in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen RLB’s team while working in a supportive environment, on interesting projects.

The role presents an opportunity to work across Hospitality sector as well as commercial, life sciences and industrial among others in the future while the team continues to develop, diversify and as RLB’s European business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
• To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
• To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
• Comply with established commercial/procurement/ contractual strategies.
• Take responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
• Cost Planning and estimating, post contract and procurement duties.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related technical discipline.
• MRICS or member of other relevant professional body – or desire to attain.

Experience

• Quantity Surveying/Cost Management experience on Hospitality sector.
• Proven technical / project delivery experience. Previously employed by a consultancy, contractor, developer, or client-side organisation.
• Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
• Team management experience.
