Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall in Madrid or Barcelona is seeking a Cost Manager to join our Cost Management team. You will work on hospitality projects, overseeing commercial and contractual performance and delivering value for money on complex developments.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, plus experience in hospitality and client-facing delivery. We offer hybrid working, a competitive salary, and a supportive environment with APC mentoring and career development

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting Cost Managers to be based either at our Madrid or Barcelona offices in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen RLB’s team while working in a supportive environment, on interesting projects.

The role presents an opportunity to work across Hospitality sector as well as commercial, life sciences and industrial among others in the future while the team continues to develop, diversify and as RLB’s European business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
• To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
• To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
• Comply with established commercial/procurement/ contractual strategies.
• Take responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
• Cost Planning and estimating, post contract and procurement duties

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related technical discipline.

Experience

• Quantity Surveying/Cost Management experience on Hospitality sector.
• Proven technical / project delivery experience. Previously employed by a consultancy, contractor, developer, or client-side organisation
• Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts
• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
