An established industry player is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role involves supporting the monthly financial closing processes in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS, managing lease bookings, and preparing journal entries. Formación

  • 3+ years experience in public accounting, preferably in the Big 4.

The Senior Corporate Accountant will report to the Corp. Accounting Manager.

The role’s primary responsibility is to support the monthly financial closing according to US GAAP / IFRS and local legal requirements, which shall include the following tasks:

  1. Support the Corporate Accounting Manager for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for all entities worldwide.
  2. Support the HQ accounting team on general ledger and transaction processing functions to ensure efficient and accurate general ledger close each period.
  3. Manage leases (ASC 842) Group bookings.
  4. In charge of commissions preparation and bookings.
  5. Purchasing accounting and integration of M&A’s.
  6. Preparation of journal entries (JE), as well as reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  7. Prepare balance sheet and P&L flux of EMEA entities.
  8. Liaise with external auditors for statutory and consolidated audits.
  9. Make recommendations for streamlining the processes, procedures and improving effectiveness of all entities.
  10. Provide backup and coverage for other team members as needed.
  11. Support adherence to internal control processes.
  12. Ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  2. Minimum 3 years experience in public accounting, preferably in the “Big 4”.
  3. CPA or equivalents preferred.
  4. Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting principles, Sarbanes Oxley Act, US GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge preferred.
  5. Capacity to understand and critically assess financial business processes.
  6. Ability to partner with businesses and communicate effectively with all levels of the Nexthink organization.
  7. Excellent Excel and computer skills.
  8. Proficiency in English required, another European language a plus (French, or German).
  9. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-growing and changing environment.
