ROLE

Senior Consultants work closely with Engagement Managers, Principals, and Partners to solve challenging client questions.

They fully own assigned complex projects and deliver components of client engagements; additionally, they drive project success and develop long-term client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Execution / Billability (70%-90%)

  • Manage project execution, develop approaches to meet client needs, and leverage business experience to identify strategies and project approaches with limited guidance.
  • Coordinate client and stakeholder engagements, lead meetings, and report on project progress.
  • Guide and review analyses to identify client issues and develop deliverables.
  • Anticipate potential issues and communicate effectively with the project team and senior roles.
  • Oversee the creation of reports, presentations, workshops, and other deliverables.
  • Ensure high quality, timely, and accurate complex deliverables.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of the life sciences and healthcare industry and broad knowledge of consulting methodologies through engagement delivery and training.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to staff aligned with organizational policies, vision, mission, and values.

Business Development / Corporate Initiatives (up to 20%)

  • Support business development from lead discovery to proposal defense as part of the execution team.
  • Contribute to internal strategic projects, knowledge management, and technology systems.
  • Manage, coach, and coordinate Associates and Analysts for daily activities and training.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering sales presentations, quotes, and proposals.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.

Thought Leadership (up to 10%)

  • Contribute to thought leadership projects such as white papers, publications, and conferences.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience in management consulting, private equity, life sciences companies, or health technology assessment agencies.
  • Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or Engineering; PhD or MBA preferred.
  • Experience managing and coaching 2-4 team members.

Technical Skills & Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for unstructured challenges.
  • Proven project management, client interaction, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural environments.
  • Ability to coach staff and provide feedback.
  • Flexible, positive attitude, and self-starter in collaborative settings.
  • Excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
