Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions in Spain is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the execution of a large-scale renewable energy project in Mauritania. The role requires senior leadership across the project lifecycle, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with contractual and technical standards.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee PV, BESS, and hybrid scopes, coordinate interfaces, and work with clients, consultants, and subcontractors while maintaining a strong HSE culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of construction management experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Proven track record in Solar PV, BESS, or Hybrid Renewable Energy projects.
• Experience in EPC project execution and construction management.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams and major subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, MV/HV, and energy storage construction.
• Experience managing interfaces between disciplines and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and/or French an advantage.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Spain; willingness to spend extended periods in Mauritania.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for construction execution across the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement construction strategies and plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure activities comply with designs, specs, method statements, and standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between PV, BESS, HV/MV, SCADA/EMS, and civil/mechanical/electrical.
• Provide input during design reviews and manage project controls interfaces.
• Maintain HSE culture and compliance across the project.
• Support handover and as-built documentation.
