INTEC Energy Solutions seeks a Construction Manager to lead on-site construction for large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects based in Australia and New Zealand. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site safety, quality, and programme delivery, and act as the primary on-site representative for clients and consultants.

• 3-5+ years of on-site construction leadership experience, ideally within utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects.
• Delivery of at least one large-scale solar or hybrid PV + BESS project from mobilisation to commissioning.
• Understanding of civil works, mechanical/electrical installation, HV substation construction, and grid-connection requirements.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting and risk management.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Construction Manager to join our team on large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects based in Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery while maintaining compliance with Australian regulatory requirements, project specifications, and client expectations.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong expertise in construction management, strategic planning, schedule and cost control, and the coordination of multidisciplinary works across civil, mechanical, electrical, and High Voltage (HV) scopes. Acting as the primary on-site representative, you will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project execution.

• Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover activities, ensuring grid-connection readiness and operational compliance.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to site supervisors, subcontractor leads, and construction teams, fostering a strong safety and performance culture.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of on-site construction leadership experience, ideally within utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects.
• Proven delivery of at least one large-scale solar or hybrid PV + BESS project ideally from mobilisation to mechanical completion/commissioning.
• Understanding of civil works, mechanical/electrical installation, HV substation construction, and grid-connection requirements.
• Experienced in project planning, budgeting and risk management.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.
