Senior Cloud Engineer

For an European organization, we are urgently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer. EU candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (minimum 5 years of EU nationality). Work permits are not provided, and candidates should be willing to relocate within Europe. Fluency in English is required.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube for automated software deployment.
2. Provide deployment support across environments, utilizing Red Hat Cluster Manager, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
3. Configure and support ServiceMesh technology for secure service communication in microservices architectures.
4. Handle deployments and builds in an on-prem VMware environment.
5. Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations for CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment.
6. Support applications post-deployment, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization.
7. Use tools like SonarQube to ensure code quality and security.
8. Assist the deployment team with troubleshooting and documentation review.
9. Interpret development, operational, and infrastructure implications of solutions.
10. Design and implement end-to-end technology solutions to meet client challenges.
11. Assess and optimize IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery.
12. Contribute to the design and implementation of new technologies, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Profile:

• Bachelor's or University degree.
• 10 years of experience in relevant industry, consulting, or technical roles.
• Strong experience with Java application CI/CD using Maven, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Helm.
• Experience with artifact repositories like Artifactory or Nexus.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Interest in infrastructure technologies and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of data networking protocols, security, and business continuity preferred.
• Experience in agile development environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools.

Desirable:

• Experience developing Java/Maven/SpringBoot applications.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Azure Cloud.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Fluency in English.
