We are looking for a seasoned, highly technical, and experienced Azure Senior Cloud Engineer with in-depth experience in engineering and integrating cloud platforms and services. The ideal candidate should have experience with development and business agile teams on successful medium to large-scale cloud migrations, along with a deep understanding of cloud best practices, security, industry trends, modern technologies, and innovative working methods. The role involves collaborating on an important project with our client, a global investment company.

This position is remote from Spain.

High proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Engineers a best-in-class Azure Cloud platform focusing on PaaS.
• Engineers and integrates cloud solutions and services according to industry best practices, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, resilience, security, observability, and simplicity.
• Runs proof of concepts for new cloud services or third-party cloud tooling.
• Collaborates with InfoSec colleagues to review and enhance Azure security posture.
• Works with peers to refine cloud strategy, adoption plan, and migration plan.
• Works closely with development teams to facilitate their cloud journey, evaluate, identify, engineer, and implement cloud services globally.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong experience with Azure PaaS services, including design, engineering, and implementation.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, AKS, Cosmos DB, App Service Environment (ASE), Cognitive Services, Data Factory, Event Grid, Log Analytics, SQL, Blob Storage, Table Storage, Queue Storage, Sentinel, Security Center.
• Experience with cloud transformation and change programs across technology organizations.
• Broad experience across infrastructure stack including Virtualization, Windows, Linux, Storage, Database, and Networking.
• Proficiency with modern DevOps tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure ARM templates, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with modern engineering and agile practices, including shift-left CI/CD.
• Deep understanding of the broader cloud ecosystem, including cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends.

Language and Education:

• English at least C1 level.
• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Certifications and Additional Knowledge:

• Azure Cloud Certifications at Associate, Expert, or Specialty level.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services and capabilities.
• Experience with Power BI and Azure Power Platform.
