We are seeking a seasoned, highly technical, and experienced Azure Senior Cloud Engineer with in-depth expertise in engineering and integrating cloud platforms and services. The candidate should have experience working with development and business agile teams on successful medium to large-scale cloud migrations, along with a deep understanding of cloud best practices, security, industry trends, modern technologies, and innovative working methods. This role involves collaborating on an important project with our client, a global investment company.

This position is remote from Spain.

High proficiency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer a best-in-class Azure Cloud platform focusing on PaaS
• Design and integrate cloud solutions and services following industry best practices, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, resilience, security, observability, and simplicity
• Conduct proof of concepts for new cloud services or third-party cloud tooling
• Collaborate with InfoSec colleagues to review and enhance Azure security posture
• Refine cloud strategy, adoption plan, and migration plan in coordination with peers
• Assist development teams throughout their cloud journey, evaluate and identify new cloud service requirements, and implement solutions globally

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience with Azure PaaS services, including design, engineering, and implementation
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, AKS, Cosmos DB, App Service Environment (ASE), Cognitive Services, Data Factory, Event Grid, Log Analytics, SQL, Blob Storage, Table Storage, Queue Storage, Sentinel, Security Center
• Experience with cloud transformation and change management programs
• Broad experience across infrastructure components including Virtualization, Windows, Linux, Storage, Database, and Networking
• Proficiency with modern DevOps tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure ARM templates, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with modern engineering practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of the broader cloud ecosystem, including cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends

Language proficiency: English at least C1 level

Education: University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Certifications: Azure Cloud certifications at Associate, Expert, or Specialty level

Additional knowledge: Understanding of AWS cloud services and capabilities, including strengths and use cases

Optional skills: Experience with Power BI, Azure Power Platform
