A full-time Data Architect is sought after to lead data usage across an organization by defining appropriate data models, ensuring optimal data integration, and establishing standards for data management.

About the Role :

The Data Architect will work with interdisciplinary teams to design the Company Data Strategy from scratch, incorporating best practices to access data. This role involves designing robust data architectures that support business goals and enhance decision-making processes.

Experience :

The ideal candidate has experience designing highly scalable data architectures at hyperscale data volumes and for multi-region deployment. They should have deep knowledge of cloud-native data structures, both structured and unstructured. Additionally, they must be familiar with high availability, low latency data architectures for big-data management and processing, considering cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities :

• Data Solutions Design : Implement end-to-end data solutions using Azure services aligned with the Data Governance Framework to provide accurate and quality data, data lineage, and data security capabilities.
• Product Requirements Translation : Translate product requirements into data solutions, ensuring the data architecture aligns with the organization's strategic goals.
• Data Model Development : Develop and maintain data models that support the structure and flow of data within the organization.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization : Implement effective monitoring metrics and strategies to ensure the performance and integrity of data systems.
• Data Acquisition and Recovery : Develop and implement strategies for data acquisition, recovery, and archiving, ensuring data continuity and availability.
• Collaboration and Support : Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and cloud teams to resolve technical issues related to data and support their infrastructure needs.
• Compliance and Security : Work with data governance teams to ensure that data solutions comply with security and privacy regulations and policies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect for cloud-native big data platforms, applications, and data products.
• Deep knowledge of Azure data cloud services and technologies, with experience designing, deploying, and managing data solutions.
• Knowledge in Lakehouse and data mesh architectures.
• Deep experience in designing data platforms to process large datasets efficiently.
• Experience designing for data observability and designing data monitoring systems for operational and commercial metrics.
• Experience working with diverse international teams.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English.

Required Skills :

• Experience in managing data projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals in areas such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence processes; GIS software products; Data and AI pipelines, including DevOps and MLOps.
• Azure Data and Databricks Certifications.
• Experience in ESRI and / or geospatial data.
• Masters & other higher-level education.
• International work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in Spanish.
