The Vodafone Business Products are evolving and transforming at a rapid pace. To continue Vodafone’s leadership position, and to drive the transformation further, Vodafone Group Technology has identified the need to establish and grow its strength in Digital Services.

The VBPS PPE function is building a Next Generation Assurance & Orchestration Platform to support our IoT, UC, Mobile Private Network and Fixed Connectivity Products. As the Cloud Infrastructure Platform Architect, you will work with the Vodafone Digital & IT, Business Transformation, local market Teams along with vendors and VF operations teams to create the PPE Platform Strategy and Architecture which will deliver :

1. Simple, well architected, Cloud solutions
2. Repeatable frameworks for Infrastructure as Code

You will also work with the Product Development and PPE Development teams to Design Solutions in line with the PPE Platform and Integration roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS and of the solutions and products available in AWS and how to architect and design on them. Although not explicitly hands-on, this role requires someone who is comfortable being hands-on, understands Terraform and knows their way around a git repo.

This is a pivotal technical leadership role, working with vendors and internal Vodafone stakeholders to determine options and associated business benefits for our Next Generation Products. You will have proven experience in complex technical delivery leadership and demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder engagement, effective at managing ambiguity and conflict resolution. To enable this, you must be adept at creating a culture for effective collaboration and be able to communicate complex issues and their business impact for all stakeholders to understand.

What you bring

1. Experience in Cloud architecture, managing multicloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
2. Knowledge, along with design and deployment experience of AWS Infrastructure
3. Terraform
4. Cloud Computing and Infrastructure on AWS
5. Good knowledge of software Development processes, management, and lifecycle (CI / CD)
