Reporting to the BU Iberia Operations Director,

This position is responsible for the successful delivery of the Iberia Footprint program, aimed at increasing competitiveness and future-proofing the Iberia manufacturing and supply chain organization.

The program is divided into multiple workstreams, each led by a Workstream Lead responsible for their deliverables. All Workstream Leads report to this position. Additionally, this role manages an in-house PMO resource and an external PMO. The PMO function ensures the program's structure, tracks progress, and controls costs, schedule, and scope.

This position requires a highly structured approach and is regarded as the point of contact for stakeholders involved in the program. It reports to BU management and Nutreco Global Management, collaborating with multiple stakeholders outside the BU to provide subject matter expertise. It also works closely with BU stakeholders managing day-to-day operations, disruptions, and changes related to program activities.

The role demands the ability to analyze details regarding program deliverables and communicate project evolution clearly and effectively.

The position is based at BU Iberia’s Tres Cantos office, with regular travel to BU sites across Spain and Portugal.

Job Description : Key Accountabilities

  • Manage performance of direct and indirect reports, including Workstream Leads and PMOs.
  • Implement and oversee the program structure, communication, documentation, reporting, controls, and progress tracking, ensuring adherence and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Define, implement, and utilize program control processes, procedures, and tools, and ensure relevant training.
  • Establish and manage the program governance structure, reporting to Nutreco global and BU management.
  • Develop, implement, and track an integrated activity schedule to meet program milestones.
  • Manage the program’s budget (CAPEX and OPEX), controlling commitments, spending, and forecasts, and providing cost analyses.
  • Oversee an investment of over €170 million according to the approved plan, adjusting timing and budgets as needed.
  • Manage program risks and issues, lead corrective actions, and monitor their progress.
  • Handle program changes involving scope, organization, etc., following change management processes.
  • Coordinate with BU HR to manage organizational changes and modifications to working methods due to the program.
  • Implement effective communication structures among all stakeholders.
  • Act as an inspiration and motivator for team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 15 years of experience managing business transformation programs in manufacturing, preferably in animal / aquafeed, food, FMCG, or fine chemicals sectors.
  • More than 5 years in PMO or program management roles, handling scope, budget, and schedule of complex programs.
  • At least 5 years managing teams of subject matter experts in an international environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with local teams and senior management.
  • Practical, proactive, and engaged attitude towards project teams.
  • Experience in operations management roles related to production or supply chain.
  • Experience living and working outside of the home country for at least 2 years.
