Westinghouse Electric Company in Madrid is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to deliver engineering services for treatment, storage, and licensing studies in the nuclear sector.

You will report to the Waste Characterization and Disposal Manager and work in a hybrid schedule, based in Madrid, with opportunities to collaborate on international teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention valuable.
• 5+ years of experience in project and construction management within nuclear facilities.
• Experience in construction management or site management.
• Fluency in Spanish: must speak and write Spanish perfectly.
• Fluent in English with reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Drive License.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare engineering documents (calculations, construction project plans, licensing documents, and procurement specifications).
• Develop health and safety plan/study for civil or system projects.
• Development system requirements for waste management, support of process optimization plans.
• Participation in preparation of proposals (technical descriptions, calculation of efforts, client requirement identification and management).
• Meetings with suppliers at pre-design, specification development and fabrication stages.
• Manage the assembly and testing of design modifications.
• Support to our customer's site to resolve problems of the waste treatment systems.
• Offer evaluation and follow up and approval of the supplier's documentation.
• Participation in international teams.

About The Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide engineering services.

These services include treatment and final storage of radioactive waste, and nuclear safety and licensing studies. Additionally, you will involve yourself in characterization and acceptance of nuclear waste from operating plants and end of life decommissioning/dismantling projects.

You will report to the Waste Characterization and Disposal Manager and be located at Madrid.

Hybrid work schedule.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering documents (calculations, construction project plans, licensing documents, and procurement specifications).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.

• 5 + years of experience in project and construction management within nuclear facilities.
• Experience in construction management or site management.
• Software skills: Structural, Geotechnical Calculations: Knowledge of ANSYS and PLAXIS.
• Cost estimating software: Knowledge of Presto or Arquímedes.
• Fluency in Spanish: must speak and write Spanish perfectly.
• Fluent in English with reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Drive License.
