Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Madrid seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to deliver engineering services for nuclear waste treatment, safety studies, and decommissioning projects. You will report to the Waste Characterization and Disposal Manager and operate from Madrid with a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities include preparing technical and licensing documents, safety plans, and supplier coordination, plus travel to sites as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention valuable.
• 5+ years of experience in project and construction management within nuclear facilities.
• Experience in construction management or site management.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare engineering documents (calculations, construction project plans, licensing documents, and procurement specifications).
• Develop health and safety plan/study for civil or system projects.
• Development of system requirements for waste management, support of process optimization plans.
• Participation in preparation of proposals (technical descriptions, calculation of efforts, client requirement identification and management).
• Meetings with suppliers at pre-design, specification development and fabrication stages.
• Manage the assembly and testing of design modifications.
• Support to our customer's site to resolve problems of the waste treatment systems.
• Offer evaluation and follow up and approval of the supplier's documentation.
• Participation in international teams.

About the role:

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide engineering services.

These services include treatment and final storage of radioactive waste, and nuclear safety and licensing studies. Additionally, you will involve yourself in characterization and acceptance of nuclear waste from operating plants and end of life decommissioning/dismantling projects.

You will report to the Waste Characterization and Disposal Manager and be located at Madrid.

Main Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention valuable.
• 5 + years of experience in project and construction management within nuclear facilities.
• Experience in construction management or site management.
• Software skills: Structural, Geotechnical Calculations: Knowledge of ANSYS and PLAXIS.
• Fluency in Spanish: must speak and write Spanish perfectly.
• Fluent in English with reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Drive License.
