Do you want to be part of a global team where collaboration drives success?

As our Senior Scientist , you will lead projects to develop our future intumescent products. Responsibilities include planning experiments, coordinating external testing for certifications, and working with a team of laboratory technicians and scientists.

This role is based in our Passive Fire Protection R&D Centre of Excellence in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, near Barcelona, Spain. Our new office and laboratories provide an excellent environment for innovative product development. We also offer a flexible work policy to support work-life balance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including segment and product management, to enhance our PFP product range and position Hempel's Passive Fire Protection segment as a market leader. This is a key role with significant influence on our R&D future.

What does it take to join our team?

• University degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge and experience in developing paints and coatings; experience with intumescent paints is a plus but not required.
• Project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
