Joybuy in Madrid seeks a proactive Category Manager to select top brands and products in Local Food/FMCG, drive GTM strategies, and oversee end-to-end launches. You will manage sourcing, negotiations, and ongoing product performance while building compelling category storefronts.

The ideal candidate combines 5+ years in retail merchandising with strong Excel and BI skills, and fluency in English, to collaborate across marketing and supplier teams for sustained growth.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or above in retail merchandising; related field preferred.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Fluent English with strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Select the best brands and products for designated categories (Local Food/FMCG).
• Implement team strategies to support an expanding customer base and optimize shopping experience.
• Lead full implementation cycle for new brands/products: sourcing, vendor negotiations, product selection, launch, and ongoing management of sales, inventory, pricing, and promotions.
• Build and enhance category storefronts; optimize sub-categories at product/brand level.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve brand pages, category pages, product listings, and search functionalities.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns with suppliers and marketing to maximize sales and engagement.
• Monitor category metrics (conversion, margin, traffic) and drive data-driven improvements.
• Analyze customer feedback and behavior to identify growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Select the best brands and products for designated categories(Local Food/ FMCG);
• Implement team-crafted strategies to support an ever-expanding customer base and ensure an optimal shopping experience;
• Lead the full implementation cycle for new brands and products, including sourcing, vendor negotiations, product selection, launch, and ongoing management of sales, inventory, pricing, and promotion strategies;
• Build and enhance category storefronts, optimizing sub-categories at product and/or brand level;
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve brand pages, category pages, product listings, and search functionalities for seamless navigation and better product discovery;
• Work with suppliers and the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, maximizing impact on sales and customer engagement;
• Continuously monitor and optimize category-specific metrics (e.g., conversion rates, margin, user traffic) using data-driven insights to drive ongoing improvements;
• Analyze customer feedback, behavior, and preferences within the category to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above with pproximately 5 years of experience in retail merchandising as a category manager or in commercial marketing; e-commerce industry experience preferred. candidates with brand-side Go-to-Market (GTM) experience are also welcome;
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, vendor relationship management, and driving category growth;
• Proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools;
• Fluent in English.
