Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement acquisition strategies and plans in line with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, timelines, and pricing agreements to ensure favorable conditions.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues that may arise.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, and potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide acquisition solutions that meet their needs.
- Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct periodic performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize acquisition processes and reduce expenses.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience working as a Senior Buyer in a manufacturing environment
- Metal stamping and injection molding experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical writing experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and taking initiative.
- Strong negotiator and dealings with suppliers.
