Job Title: SAP Basis Expert

In this role as an SAP Basis expert, you are responsible for the smooth functioning of Siegfried’s constantly growing SAP system landscape. You will advise specialist departments, support IT projects in the SAP environment and related non-SAP systems, and take on technical leadership in S / 4HANA projects and initiatives. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to support IT projects and enhance the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administer and maintain the SAP system landscape, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of on-premise and cloud SAP systems (ECC 6, S/4HANA).
2. Serve as the first point of contact for all SAP Basis topics, providing expert guidance and support.
3. Manage roles and user administration across SAP systems, ensuring secure access control, developing processes, and establishing standards.
4. Monitor system performance, conduct optimizations, and proactively address potential issues to ensure smooth operations.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis issues, providing technical support and analysis for projects and daily operations.
6. Maintain and administer SAP Solution Manager and its successor applications, including documentation, upgrades, and migrations.
7. Familiarity with test management tools such as Focus Build and ChaRM is desirable.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
2. Several years of experience in SAP system administration and maintenance, with expertise in SAP Basis (databases, upgrades, performance optimization).
3. Strong knowledge of SAP system installation, configuration, transport management, user administration, and system monitoring.
4. Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Integration Suite, and BTP is a plus.
5. Interest in emerging technologies (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Cloud) and a commitment to continuous learning.
